QUARTZ CLOCK PROJECT

Above is a detailed view of both the quartz clock body and battery, as well as the initial front and side view of the body shape
Above on the left is the initial shape mock up, minus the face. The mock up was made purely for shape ideation and creation. On the right is a more complete and developed mock up of the finished idea. It has details indicating the faces center point and more refined shape
SolidWorks 2017/2018 was used to create the CAD models of the clock shell. The use of assembly files was used to create the fully assembled model
On the left is a close up of the sheet metal thickness, whilst the middle displays the hour and minute arm fastened to the part of the Quartz Clock that is protruding through the shell. On the right is a view of the back of the clock where the Quartz Clock is housed
Above are two context renders of the completed clock, they are placed in a lounge setting and an office space setting. The design of the clock allows for adaptability to the environment with both a formal aesthetic as well as a recreational feel
